SSO Registration Services

Understanding SSO

Single Sign-on or Common EPR Portals Login is a Revolutionary Invention by CPCB to Protect PIBO's

What is SSO or Single sign on?

Single Sign-On or SSO, or as we generally refer to common EPR portal login, is an authentication method that lets PIBOs log in once with a single set of credentials to access multiple EPR certification and compliance portals, applications and services without re-entering passwords.

Common EPR SSO Portal Launched: CPCB activated a centralized SSO login at https://epr.cpcb.gov.in, replacing separate portals for Plastic, E-Waste, Battery, Tyre, and Used Oil EPR.

Mandatory Migration: All PIBOs, recyclers, and PROs must register on the Common SSO and link existing EPR accounts to continue accessing EPR services.

EPR Transaction Portal (ETP) Integration: From April 2026 onward, EPR certificate trading (generation, transfer, purchase, utilization) is accessible only via the ETP (https://etp.cpcb.gov.in) using SSO credentials.

What are the benefits of SSO?

Now the question is why suddenly CPCB has implemented this SSO, is it only a strategy to keep PIBOs under pressure?

Absolutely not…SSO is required for :-

Convenience: Users remember only one username and password.

Security: Reduces password fatigue and risky behaviors like reusing weak passwords.

Centralized control: IT teams can manage access, enforce policies (like MFA), and revoke sessions from one place.

What are the documents PIBOs Need for SSO registration?

For PIBOs (Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners) registering on the CPCB Common EPR SSO Portal, the following documents are typically required:
